Is Tacking the longest distance between two points?

Winds have not been favourable and our hope is for winds to come out of the South West to bring us to our first stop.  

The days are bringing warmer weather and the nights are still cooler with some mist.  

I was captured by the clouds moving across the moon like a kaleidoscope. The images ever changing providing for a moment to pause and give gratitude for our safe passage to date.
